The creation of Lumina was a journey of creativity and technical mastery. Working independently, I faced the challenge of designing a product that adhered to ergonomic principles while showcasing organic design elements. Advanced modelling techniques like lofts and sweeps became the foundation of my process. Each curve was meticulously crafted to maintain balance between the sleek, flowing form and the structural integrity required for production.
A key obstacle was achieving seamless draft along the parting line to ensure compatibility with plastic injection molding. I carefully integrated two sweeps and two lofts, refining each element to produce a cohesive design that was both visually striking and manufacturing-friendly. The result is a guitar body that embodies innovation while staying true to its inspiration, offering enhanced comfort and a bold aesthetic.
Lumina reimagines the electric guitar, merging classic charm with modern precision.
